THEME OF THE COMPETITION

Students will observe the area in which they live (country or area) and prepare a short text to describe the environment in terms of: Number of residents, schools present , public gardens and parks, etc..; economic vocation of the territory, the presence of industries, production activities prevailing in the primary sector (agriculture, livestock, fisheries) and services (tourism, crafts); Transportation, describing the intensity of traffic and type of existing and widely available public transport. In addition, students must ask themselves the following questions: "Where does the energy we consume?", And then point out the existence of plants in electricity production, "What is the cause of most pollution in our area? ", proposing an investigation, which also targets the families, to identify the possible causes of environmental pollution of the territory in question. Once observed and described the land, the boys will find it in a specific area "The Place of sustainability" and propose solutions to reduce the causes of pollution, highlighting what are the actions that would make local governments and what are the contributions that all citizens can give. The project will be developed with different tools, such as, drawings, photo collages, prototypes, video, text, hypertext, etc.., To document a "before and after" of the places selected.
